Putting safety top of mind

With the help of Glencore’s Oaky Creek Coal Mine Community Grant, the Capella Pioneer Village have put safety first by assisting younger local people to learn good machinery habits. This nationally accredited course was specifically designed for high school students and was held on Friday 18th September. Qualified trainer Kerion Kelly lead the class that consisted of 7 enthusiastic young locals wanting to learn more about tractor safety and best practices when operating machinery.

It’s all icy and cool at the cricket.

Capella Cricket Club were recent recipients of Glencore’s Oaky Creek Coal Mine Community Grants. With the cricket season hotting up, the club has used the funds to purchase 3 new water coolers for the team ensuring they always have plenty of ice cold water to hydrate the team during games both home and away.
