A top little town with a big spirit

Located in the Central Highlands Region of Queensland, approximately 4 hours west of Rockhampton and just 1 hour from the thriving regional centre of Emerald, Tieri offers a relaxed country lifestyle, amongst a vibrant well-resourced community.

Established in 1983, the town was originally developed to support the mining operations of Oaky Creek Coal. The town and community continues to flourish. From locally-made and nationally awarded beef jerky, to hosting high-profile events within the central highlands, the town offers residents and visitors alike first-class hospitality and sporting facilities; including an Olympic size swimming pool, gym and golf course.

Whether you are drawn to Tieri for the country living, career opportunities, to partake in a spot of golf or simply passing through, this town has a wonderful story to tell and a lot to offer.
