CHRC Community Grants Program – Round 1 2025/2026 now open

Local organisations are invited to apply for the council's community grants to fund programs and /or equipment/facilities in the following categories; Community Assistance up to $5,000; Sport & Recreation up to $5,000; and Community Improvement up to $20,000. Applications will be closing at midnight on the 15th September 2025.

After a comprehensive tender process and months of preparation, ISS has been appointed to work alongside Oaky Creek Coal Town Services to enhance the living experience in Tieri. This new partnership responds to valuable community feedback and will see ISS collaborate with Town Services to deliver a refreshed scope of work. With a focus on comfort, care, and quality service, ISS will support the ongoing management and improvement of village life - bringing upgrades to accommodation, dining, and amenity standards for all residents.

Heart of Australia Brings Specialist Care to Tieri

Heart of Australia has been providing vital cardiology and respiratory services to Tieri residents through its mobile health clinic, the 'Heart Truck since 2023. In partnership with Tieri Medical Practice, they’ve delivered 82 appointments so far, receiving positive feedback from both patients and local healthcare professionals. With quarterly visits confirmed for 2025, Heart of Australia is also expanding its reach nationally, launching mobile lung cancer screening services and continuing specialist women’s health clinics in nearby Middlemount.
