Meet the Locals – Ann Coull

From the early days of dongas and dust to the bustling operation it is today, few people have witnessed the growth of Oaky Creek North quite like local Ann Coull. Joining the team just weeks after the mine first opened in 1995, she helped shape its foundations - not just through her work in administration, but through the camaraderie and community spirit she helped foster both on site and in Tieri. After more than two decades with OCN, Ann reflects on the early days, the people, and the memories that made her journey unforgettable.

From humble motel-room beginnings to a new home on Peak Downs Street, the Capella Community Op Shop has become a place where generosity and connection shine. Led by Secretary Pamela Fleming, the not-for-profit supports local families, schools, and clubs - proving that every donation and purchase helps strengthen the Capella community.

Tieri Pool Reopens 11 September

The Tieri Pool is back open for spring! Along with your favourite spot to swim and cool off, there’s now a brand-new volleyball court for everyone to enjoy during supervised pool hours. It’s the perfect place to come together, stay active and make the most of the sunny days with friends and family.

This new partnership responds to valuable community feedback and will see ISS collaborate with Town Services to deliver a refreshed scope of work. With a focus on comfort, care, and quality service, ISS will support the ongoing management and improvement of village life - bringing upgrades to accommodation, dining, and amenity standards for all residents.
