Heart of Australia Brings Specialist Care to Tieri

Heart of Australia has been providing vital cardiology and respiratory services to Tieri residents through its mobile health clinic, the 'Heart Truck since 2023. In partnership with Tieri Medical Practice, they’ve delivered 82 appointments so far, receiving positive feedback from both patients and local healthcare professionals. With quarterly visits confirmed for 2025, Heart of Australia is also expanding its reach nationally, launching mobile lung cancer screening services and continuing specialist women’s health clinics in nearby Middlemount.

Old Inspector’s Hut Donated to Capella Pioneer Village

Oaky Creek Coal (OCC) has donated the 140-year-old inspector's hut from Capella Railway Station to Capella Pioneer Village. Built in the early 1880s, the hut once housed railway inspectors before being relocated to Oak Park in the 1980s. Now, through OCC's community investment initiative, the hut returns to Capella to become part of the village's railway heritage collection.
