Tieri Commemorates ANZAC Day

As the sun rose on April 25th, Tieri locals gathered to commemorate ANZAC Day with a sombre and respectful dawn service held at Tieri’s Cenotaph. The parkland surrounding the Cenotaph was lined with crosses to remember those that who have lost their lives and as the bugle played the Last Post a minutes silence was observed to honour all past and current servicemen and women and especially those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

The opening of the highly anticipated Tieri Outside School Care is just around the corner with the first day of care launching on Tuesday 27th April 2021. Parents can enroll their children by visiting the Tieri State School Monday 19 – Friday 23 April 2021 between 7.30 – 9am and 2.30-4pm or by contacting 0488 212 136 Privately-owned and operated by DBS Child Care Centres, the Centres has been developed with a desire to make a positive contribution to the community.

Meet Nathan Ban – Tieri Local for 9 years

Meet Nathan, a Tieri local who has lived here for 9 years with his wife and growing, young family. When Nathan isn’t playing in Tieri’s touch football team or exploring the nearby natural wonders with his kids, he’s tackling his next challenge - like his recently completed Masters in Electrical Engineering. In addition to being a valued member of the local community in Tieri, Nathan is also part of the Oaky Creek Coal (OCC) team. Here, Nathan has a pivotal role in ensuring consistency and safety across OCC’s electrical engineering systems.

Tieri Community Reference Group Meeting

Are you looking for an opportunity to make a difference and shape the future of your community? Join the Central Highlands Community Reference Group (CRG). A collective of like-minded locals who help council prioritise and deliver projects important to the community. Anyone and everyone can get involved! You don’t need experience, specific skills, or a notebook full of ideas – just a passion for making your community great. The first meeting of the Tieri Community Reference Group will be held on 1st March.
