Lest we forget.

Inviting Tieri to light up the dawn this Anzac Day.

21 Apr 2020

When times are tough, Australians have always relied on the distinctive qualities of mateship, humour, ingenuity, courage and endurance to get us through. Known as the ANZAC Spirit, these five qualities have defined Australians ever since the first troops landed on the beaches of Gallipoli in World War I.

Just imagine how special it would be if everyone in Tieri was standing in their driveway at 6am on ANZAC Day, united in spirit to remember all those who have served and sacrificed for the lifestyle we enjoy today.

Join us this ANZAC Day in your driveway, on your balcony or even in your living room and let’s show our service people – past and present – that we appreciate all they have done for us.

Why not get the whole town to light up the dawn?

It’s easy for you to spread the word! When you pledge your place on the TD: Queensland website, you can download a flyer to print out and pop in your neighbours’ letterboxes.

RSL Queensland will also be broadcasting a short commemorative service from their website www.rsl.qld.org

The order of service will be:
