Standing apart, as one for ANZAC Day.

Tieri residents united for an ANZAC Day unlike any other, paying their respects to veterans by lighting up the dawn with driveway ceremonies. Standing apart, together as they commemorated all those who have served and sacrificed for our country. A sacred day that would normally see locals gather at the War Memorial for the annual ANZAC day ceremony could not be dampened by social distancing. Today, lets honour all past and current servicemen and women and those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice with an ode written by Rupert McCall, OAM as a tribute to our diggers to commemorate the landing of the ANZACs at Gallipoli, entitled ‘100 years from now’

Inviting Tieri to light up the dawn this Anzac Day.

When times are tough, Australians have always relied on the distinctive qualities of mateship, humour, ingenuity, courage and endurance to get us through.
