Thanks to all the amazing responses from the Tieri volunteers who took part in the past Local Voices Survey, we are working towards making our top little town a better place!
Here’s a quick recap of the last results:
Trust and acceptance of Glencore Oaky Coal is strong; sitting at 3.5 and 4.1 out of 5, respectively.
63% were happy with the amount of contact they have with the company.
34% are satisfied with the quality of sport, recreation and leisure facilities. 10% are satisfied with the availability of childcare. 63% are satisfied with food and everyday items. 57% are satisfied with medical and health services.
55% agreed the social investment activities by the company have had positive impacts on the community.
Knowing the company complies with their regulatory requirements is important to community.
After analysing and carefully going through the feedback from our Tieri locals, we want to share with you the main points and our response to it:
Only 10% felt satisfied with the current childcare situation, given that Tieri does not have a full-time childcare facility in town. We know how important this matter is, specially for full-time working parents, and that is why we are putting a lot of effort into coming up with the best option. With a satisfaction score of 34%, locals expressed their need for more sports and recreational activities that are supervised. We know how important these activities are for our community and, thanks to your feedback, we have worked on the following :
With 55% satisfaction, we know how important events are to keep our community bonds strong and provide an environment where Tieri locals can get to know each other better and make everyone feel included. For that reason, our very dedicated it team works hard on a daily basis to come up with fresh ideas and continue to create amazing events for all children and adults to enjoy.
We are also very proud to announce we have partnered with CTM Links on a social inclusion project called ‘Tieri Together’ and all upcoming events will be posted on the events calendar.
