As the temperature rises make sure to keep your pets cool.

? HEATWAVE WARNING – Start freezing those enrichment packs! Temperatures are set to soar across Queensland this weekend. Remember your pets! RSPCA QLD TOP TIPS:

? All pets should have an ample supply of shelter and water and do not tether your dog in the backyard.
☀ Never exercise your pet during the heat of the day. Sunrise and sunset are the best times to take your dog for a walk in summer and steer clear of hot bitumen.
? Never leave your pet unattended in a car or on a ute!
? Watch for signs of heatstroke in your pet! Flat faced dogs (Brachycephalic breeds) are more susceptible.

? Don’t forget our wildlife! Leave extra containers of water out for birds and smaller animals.

If you see an animal in distress contact our 24/7 Animal Emergency Hotline 1300 ANIMAL (1300 264 625). For more tips (for all animals) see: http://www.rspcaqld.org.au/…/keeping-all-types-of-pets…
