All pets should have an ample supply of shelter and water and do not tether your dog in the backyard.
Never exercise your pet during the heat of the day. Sunrise and sunset are the best times to take your dog for a walk in summer and steer clear of hot bitumen.
Never leave your pet unattended in a car or on a ute!
Watch for signs of heatstroke in your pet! Flat faced dogs (Brachycephalic breeds) are more susceptible.
Don’t forget our wildlife! Leave extra containers of water out for birds and smaller animals.
