Tieri Pro-Am

The 2026 Tieri Golf Pro-Am was held over two days, starting on Friday 12th June, and finishing on Saturday 13th June. An additional Sponsors Day was held on the 11th June for those who generously supported the event.

“We are thrilled to announce that this year’s Pro-Am attracted an incredible 57 sponsors! Their outstanding support has truly surpassed expectations, and we can’t thank them enough for their generous backing. It helped to make the event the huge success that it was.”  says Patrick Freiberg, Secretary, at Tieri Golf Club. 

A mixture of 38 professional players from near and as far afield as South Australia, Victoria and even the Northern Territory, and 72 amateurs competed this year, which is a huge turnout. 

It was a Single Person Stableford event – where competitors played alone and scored points based on their actual strokes minus their handicap strokes – with multiple tee-off times in the morning and afternoon.

Players competed for an array of exciting prizes, including King’s Camping Fridges and JBL Bluetooth Speakers, Pellet Smokers, Mini Drones, Ninja Slushie Machines, Ninja Coffee Machines and Firepits. The prizes were awarded across various categories, including playing division, winner and runner-up titles, approach shots, longest drives, and overall performance.

There was a live band, food vans on-site for hungry players and fans to buy dinner, and even a clinic for school students to learn from professional golfers.

This is the 12th official PGA-sanctioned Pro-Am tournament that has been held at the Tieri Golf Club, quite an accomplishment for our small, but top, little town!
