Tieri Aquatic Centre opened its doors again at the start of the month, and warmly welcomed swimmers back to the water.
This season, Lifeguards Belynda ‘Bells’ Perkins, Briar Blake, Courtney Cowan, and Jacinta Watts are joined by newly qualified lifeguard Emma Angel. Bill Lines and Keeley Stewart join Kayley Christensen and Mackenzie Lines as Junior Lifeguards.
“We are all excited to be back for the 2026/2027 swimming season, where the old favourites are scheduled, as well as something new!” says Bells.
The season kicked off with Kids Fit (8-years and above) during the September school holidays from 21st September to 2nd October, Monday to Friday.
The Intensive Week Learn 2 Swim Block for 3-year-olds and above runs from 28th September to 2nd October, with lessons every day.
And the popular 8-week Learn 2 Swim Program for 6-month-olds and above begins on 12th October until the 4th December, with at least two classes per week to get the full benefit.
In a highly-anticipated development, the Aquatic Centre is currently going through the process of acquiring its credentials to run Aqua Fitness classes.
“We can’t wait to get those up and running,” says Bells. “Aqua is a low-impact, full-body workout in the water that builds strength, fitness and flexibility. We hope they’ll be a big hit amongst the town!”
To register for any of the above programs, email the team at tieripool@gmail.com or call them on 07 4981 6131.
