Are you ready for some adrenaline-pumping, fun-filled competition? Dust off your competitive spirit because the renowned Tieri Billy Cart Derby is making a triumphant return! Mark your calendars for the 26th of August, because we’re inviting you to join us at the starting line for a day that promises camaraderie, excitement, and the thrilling rush of a good old-fashioned derby!
Located at Anncrouye Street, Tieri, the event will kick off at 9 AM with an array of marketplaces and food stalls, setting the stage for a day packed with entertainment, shopping, and delicious food. This event is not only about speed and strength; it’s a test of your creativity, strategy, and safety skills too!
Participation rules are simple but crucial: each team gets a maximum of three pushes, and no mechanical or electrical assistance is allowed. The emphasis is on safety – all carts must have functioning brakes, and personal protective equipment (PPE) is a must for all participants.
And what’s a competition without some enticing prizes? We’ll be awarding for the Fastest Time, Best Dressed Crew, Best Built Cart, and Most Impressive Crash! So, whether you’re an experienced cart builder, a speed enthusiast, or you’ve got a knack for out-of-the-box designs, there’s a prize category for you.
Don’t have a billy cart? No problem! It’s the perfect time to put on your thinking cap, gather your team, and build a cart that could become the star of the derby. Remember, it’s not just about winning – it’s about teamwork, creativity, and having a great time!
