Last season was awash with mixed emotions for Tieri Aquatic Centre. At the end of last year they were very sad to say goodbye to two of their amazing teachers, Miss Gayle James and Miss Kylie Sullivan. “They will be greatly missed, not only from the pool but also from our awesome community. We wish them all the best in their new adventures.” said Belynda “Bells” Perkins, Tieri Aquatic Supervisor and Australia Day Winner .
As they bid adieu to Gayle and Kylie, the team is delighted to say a warm welcome to four new members: Tania Marttila, Jaqui Butcher-Walker, Candice Bradley and Mia Healy. “We’re always thrilled to bring new swimmers into our little pool family,” says Bells.
Bells and the rest of the pool family are super proud of all their swimmers who have been progressing wonderfully and constantly smashing PB’s this season. “A big congratulations also goes out to one of our squad members, Mackenzie Lines, who has worked hard this season to break her personal best times, produce five records at her school carnival, and was also awarded Young Sports Person of the Year at Australia Day! We’re SOOOO proud of you, Mackenzie!”
