Congratulations to the Glencore Smarty Grant Round 1 Recipients

Sports, Education and the Arts are all winners with the announcement of the Oaky Creek Coal Round One Smarty Grants recently awarded.

Glencore’s Environment & Community Advisor, Hannah Murphy advised that the next round of grants is now open for community groups and individuals to apply.

“We aim to make a positive impact in the communities in which we operate, and are delighted to announce our Round One Smarty Grant recipients” Hannah said.

• Tieri Family Health Unit – Lactation Consultant, Wellness Nurse, School Hygiene Packs
• Keppel Coast Arts – Capricorn Coast Writers Festival
• Capella State School P&C – Sustainable Food Cubes
• Capella State High School – Sexual Health Presentations
• Tieri Golf Club – Tieri Golf Pro-Am 2021
• Capella Cattle Dogs Rugby Union – 30yr Anniversary and Annual Ladies Day

Murphy said Glencore hoped to facilitate more grants with this next round of grants.

“The aim of these programs is to assist organisations and provide them the opportunity to either become more involved or to continue with activities and services that enhance the local community,” she said
