Let’s talk – Council’s Community Engagement Review Project

Council wants to hear from you about how to improve and refresh the way we engage and communicate.

Community engagement is key to council as it helps us make better decisions that lead to better outcomes that are aligned with community wants and needs.

Everyone’s views are important. Get involved to help shape how council engages with our community and stakeholders.

How to get involved

Online briefing session

Register to attend a briefing session to hear about the project and how you can contribute.

  • Tuesday 7 March 2023 7.00 pm to 8.00 pm

Community Survey

Complete the survey(External link) to share your views about how you would like to engage with council, what topics are important for council to engage on and how you would like to receive information from council. Help us shape the way council engages.

Alternatively, you are welcome to call us on 1300 242 686 or visit your council office, library, or transaction centre. Council staff can assist you:

  • by providing a paper copy of the survey
  • with the completion of the survey on paper or online
  • by providing a copy of the survey in alternative formats for accessibility, as requested.

This survey will be open for contributions from Monday 27 February to midnight on Monday 3 April 2023.

Community Workshops

Register for a community workshop to find out about the project and share your views please register for one of our workshops. Can’t attend the face to face workshop? Please join us for a virtual community workshop.

  • Community Engagement Workshop 1: Thursday 23 March 10.00 am to 12.00 pm at McIndoe Park, Emerald.
  • Community Engagement Workshop 2: Tuesday 28 March 7.00 pm to 8.30 pm online
