Joining the team just weeks after the mine first opened in 1995, she helped shape its foundations - not just through her work in administration, but through the camaraderie and community spirit she helped foster both on site and in Tieri. After more than two decades with OCN, Ann reflects on the early days, the people, and the memories that made her journey unforgettable.

Applying for a Glencore SmartyGrant

Glencore Coal’s Community Investment Program supports local initiatives that make a real difference in Tieri, Capella, and surrounding areas. Through the 2025 Oaky Creek Community Investment and Local Family and Community Events grants, not-for-profit groups can apply for funding of up to \$10,000 for projects that benefit the community. If your initiative aligns with Glencore’s focus areas- health, environment, education, Indigenous support or a local need -now’s the perfect time to apply.
