The Tieri Local Ambulance Committee has posted an expression of interest post for a great opportunity: teaching our young children to respond to an emergency.
The RESQ R000’s Basic First Aid Program is tailored for children in year 5 or older.
This is a basic first aid program which covers a wide range of topics: calling 000, responding to an emergency situation, recognition and treatment of bites, stings etc, bandaging, anaphylaxis, seizures and CPR.
The initial cost would be $50, which would be refunded to the parent provided the child attends all sessions.
Although the date has yet to be confirmed, the program will be scheduled after school.
The Tieri Local Ambulance Committee is also looking for to volunteer for the wonderful oppportunity.
