On Saturday, 25th July, Teri Civic Centre was ‘Pretty in Pink’ for the 2026 Tieri Charity Gala. Held every other year, the town ball is a chance for the community to get dressed up for a special event, whilst raising funds for a charity. This year, the gala supported the McGrath Foundation.
Ashley Edler, Lily Wilson and Leah Freihaut from Oaky Creek Coal’s (OCC) HR team organised a spectacular evening. Against an elegant pink setting (thanks to Ramona from Element Events by Ramona), the gala featured a three-course dinner by ISS, music by Phil Ceberano and Russell Robertson, and a barrel of laughs thanks to comedians Dave O’Neill and Des Dowling.
OCC’s onsite suppliers generously donated some hot ticket items that collectively raised $11,000 in the silent auction, including:
Through the auction and ticket sales, the Tieri community raised an amazing $22,500 or the McGrath Foundation – great work everyone!
“It was great to see the town out in force, enjoying the evening, from the sit-down dinner to the comedy and especially the 360 photo booth! I’m so proud of our community for backing the event and supporting such a great foundation.” reflects Lily.
A big thank you to the evening’s sponsors for their support and generosity: Deftec, Eickhoff, Gricon, Komatsu, Longwall Chain Australia, MyLek, Pims, SG Fleet, Tieri LAC.
