Spotlight on La Bella Nails & Beauty

31 Dec 2022

Tell us about your business and the services you provide?

La Bella Nails & Beauty offer a range of services that currently includes nails, spray tanning, pedicures and facial waxing and tinting. I am in the process of getting the beauty room set up to provide further services such as relaxation massages, facials and teeth whitening.

How did you come up with the name?

La Bella means ‘beauty’ in Italian. Having Italian nationality I knew it was the perfect fit.

What can people expect when they come to La Bella Nails & Beauty?

When people come to visit La Bella Nails & Beauty @ Koa they can expect to have a friendly and compassionate service with a no negative environment.

How did you discover your interest in – and talent for – nails and beauty?

It wasn’t until after I had both my children that I decided I wanted to get into beauty. I was a lover of getting my nails done religiously every two weeks and then one day I thought maybe I could do this.

After enrolling to do my Certificate III in Nail Technology, I decided this was definitely my career path. The passion I have for doing nails is next level. You will often find me Googling different nail designs to try and recreate.

I am forever learning new ways to perfect my nail art as I am not a very artistic person in general.

What journey has your career taken?

I have been creating beautiful nails for the last six years down on the south coast of the beautiful Jervis Bay. From working part time in a beauty salon to now being a full time business woman, I get to create long-lasting relationships with clients.

What’s been your greatest achievement to date?

My greatest achievements are my two children. Being a single mother we have been through some crazy obstacles however by taking this massive leap of faith and moving to Tieri to start my business I am showing them that it is possible to follow your dreams and make them come true.

How did you end up here in Tieri?

I tagged along for the ride when my sister Jayme told me she was moving up here to open the hair salon. I didn’t hesitate to jump on this journey, not only for a once in a lifetime business opportunity but also to grow within myself and to show my children what it’s like to have the old school childhood that we all remember having.

What do you love most about this top little town of ours?

I love this town for the fact that everybody is so welcoming and friendly. Coming from a busy holiday area like Jervis Bay, to the quiet little town of Tieri has been amazing. I thought I wouldn’t have been able to adjust, however the support and love from the community has made me realise that this is where I am meant to be.

What’s the best thing about having your own nail business?

The best thing is that I have the flexibility to work around clients and their needs and also it gives me the best possible work life balance.

With the festive season upon us, what are your top 3 tips for beautiful nails?

  1. Stay hydrated and make sure cuticle oil is used regularly
  2. Make sure your appointments are booked regularly
  3. Nails are jewels not tools!

What’s coming up in the new year for La Bella Nails & Beauty?

I can’t reveal too much right now, but everyone needs to keep an eye on our socials as 2023 will have some new and exciting things coming!

How can people contact you or make a booking?
