Gas Drainage Engineer

Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, an opportunity exists for a proactive and organised Gas Drainage Engineer to join the Oaky Creek Coal team. As a member of the Technical Services team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient reduction and management of all relevant coal seam gases. The successful gas drainage engineer will use pre and post drainage to prevent outbursts and minimise any restriction on development and longwall mining rates.

Geotechnical Engineer

In this role, you will be responsible for: Providing Geotechnical advice to the Longwall/ Development and Outbye Teams, Provide on shift technical support as required, Carry out inspections and ensure support standards are met in all areas, Apply site and GCAA framework guidelines to provide suitable geotechnical advice and plans, Provide primary / secondary and remedial support plans, Work closely with the site Geologist to provide details for the 1st/ 2nd workings and associated hazard plans.
