Tieri Daycare Association has been operating here in town for an incredible 35 years.
The not-for-profit centre opened its doors and welcomed the first children into its care on Wednesday, 27 October, 1993. Since then, hundreds of Tieri’s tots have played, learned and developed at the daycare.
Today, Tieri Daycare is open every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 8.30am until 2.20pm for up to 21 children per day, ranging from 6 weeks to five year-olds.
A typical day starts with some outside play before heading inside for morning tea. Group time and inside play then kicks off with an Acknowledgement to Country and special morning song before the kids choose from a wide selection of arts and crafts. After lunch time, it’s rest time or quiet time with some puzzles or books and then off home.
