Precautionary measures at Oaky North due to Brisbane’s Covid Outbreak.

The following precautionary measures will be effective immediately at Oaky North:

  • Anyone who has been in the Greater Brisbane area on or after the 20th March and been to a Close contact site or Casual contact site MUST self-isolate and follow the government guidelines regarding testing. (see list below).
  • All employees who travel with others must wear a mask this applies to all UG man-transporter travel with one than one person.
  • All employees will be required to wear a mask in all circumstances where they are unable to socially distance (1.5m).
  • Office personnel need to wear a mask in an office when not alone.
  • Mess access will be restricted to anyone who has been in the Greater Brisbane area on or after the 20th March and they can pick their meals up and eat in their room (see separate guidelines for access)
  • All Site visitors restricted from the Greater Brisbane Area
  • Please note travel to Brisbane until further notice is not recommended. Should you wish to travel please be advised that this will be at your own risk and you may be unable to return to site

The following measures will remain in place as a result of COVID-19 for all Oaky Creek employees, including:

  • Improved hygiene procedures on site
  • Temperature testing
  • Vehicle tracking on PJBs / UG Man transporters

*Please note those who have transited through Brisbane airport are not considered to have been in the Greater Brisbane area.

Oaky Creek continues to monitor the situation and will advise of any updates or changes to the above information. If you have been to any of the locations listed at the relevant times you should:

  • quarantine at home immediately for 14 days since attending those venues at those times
  • complete the contact tracing self-assessment if you have not already been contacted by Queensland Health in relation to this potential exposure. If you are unable to complete the online contact-tracing self-assessment please call 13 HEALTH (13 43 25 84)
  • stay quarantined even if you get a negative test until 14 days have passed since you were last there. It can take 14 days before you may show symptoms or test positive.
